About the Journal

Microbiological Journal is a single-blind peer-reviewed, Ukrainian scientific open access journal that publishes high quality, original research in microbiology, virology, biotechnology, immunology, and molecular biology. The journal was founded in 1934 and is published six times a year.

Aims & Scope

The journal covers issues of general, soil, technical and medical microbiology, as well as the physiology of industrial microorganisms, experimental mycology, the theoretical and applied aspects of virology, genetics, biochemistry and molecular biology of microorganisms. This includes the production of novel biologically active substances of microbial origin, biotechnology, and the use of microorganisms for environmental preservation and protection.

Microbiological Journal is indexed in SCOPUS, EBSCO, Google Scholar, CrossRef, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, URZ Dzherelo, and Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine of the Vernadsky National Library, ensuring discoverability of published research.
